Marine Slip Ring
Slip rings have been essential in the global maritime industry, providing unrestricted power and signal connections between stationary and rotating devices for various marine applications, such as ROVs, cranes, winches, wireline/logging, and FPSO swivel stacks. With slip rings, systems can rotate freely in both directions without damaging cables.
As technology rapidly advances worldwide, the slip rings used in marine applications need to offer more advanced performance, robust configurations, and complex solution combinations. Panlink has been designing and manufacturing high-performance electrical slip ring assemblies for decades in the marine industry. These marine slip rings are engineered to operate reliably in extreme marine environments.
Marine slip rings are designed to accommodate a wide range of sizes, powers, and channels, offering uninterrupted power supply from signal levels to 10,000V and current ratings up to 500A. Gold-plated fiber brushes are used for signal circuits, while silver graphite brushes on precious metal-plated rings serve high current circuits. These electrical slip rings can be integrated with fiber optic rotary joints and fluid rotary joints to provide a comprehensive rotating interface solution for both surface and subsea applications.
